HISTORY

The history of Alliance Legal is typical metamorphosis. Mr. Akin Akintoye the principal partner founded Akin Akintoye & Co. in 1981. Having steadily grown the company, the practice formally merged with the law firm of Ben Haastrup & Co. into a partnership in 2002 with Mr. Ben Haastrup as a partner while Mr. Lekan Bade-John (then Lekan Awogbemila) became the third partner at inception. Upon the retirement of Mr. Ben Haastrup from the partnership, Mr. Stanley Olawanle Adeyemi became a partner in 2013 bringing on board his practical experience in the world of banking and finance having retired as an executive director of a state-owned bank a few years earlier.

The practice is a well-rounded full-service law firm with bias for commercial, corporation and property law. The practice is robustly underpinned with requisite litigation /advocacy skills to meet the needs of its corporate and worthy individual clients.

The practice renders high quality secretarial services to organised corporate bodies like banks, finance and mortgage companies, estate development companies and more.

The practice which started at Investment House on Broad Street on the Lagos Island, Alliance Legal had to move to its present location in Lekki Peninsula Scheme 1, Lagos.

The experience of Alliance Legal for all practical purposes in commercial and Corporation law practice is over 41 years as at 2019 and this has continued to remain available and demonstrably useful in delivering value to our expanding clientele.

The practice is fully supported by necessary information and communication technology and is consciously client focused. We master its client’s individual and peculiar needs and deliver accordingly.
